It Takes A Village!
Our activities in support of vulnerable youth are possible because of a supportive community. We find that people want to give back to their community, and simply need a call-to-action to do so. Check out a few of our successes. Please get involved!

Our 2022 annual Spaghetti Dinner raised funds to provide college scholarships to high school Key Club members. It was a huge group effort. Key Clubbers donated drinks and desserts. Area merchants provided many generous door prizes..

Through our yearly EAT HERE NOW fundraiser, we raise funds for enrichment programs that benefit youth in Asbury Park. Supporters enjoy a coupon booklet offering savings at local restaurants and specialty stores.

We partner with Community Karma to support their backpack drive, assisting with collecting supplies, filling backpacks, and distributing them to hundreds of children so they can start the school year prepared. We also support Community Karma’s Asbury Park Toy Drive through extensive volunteer efforts and donations, helping bring holiday joy to families in need.

Our Club’s primary focus is enriching the lives of youth in our community. A shining example of this dedication was our event at Allaire Community Farm, where youth with Down Syndrome and their families enjoyed hayrides, a petting zoo, pony rides, and a nutritious lunch.

Every year, our Club joins the Jersey Shore Ride for Food Justice, coming together to raise support for programs that strengthen our community through housing, homelessness prevention, and personal wellness efforts.

Movie Afternoon at the Showroom on Cookman Ave. hosted approximately 25 boys, girls and family members to a super fun afternoon full of laughs, treats, popcorn and toys!

Lots of fun is had as children run, bike and "Play on Pine" Street in Asbury Park on Friday nights. Hosted by Second Life Bikes, Kiwanis Club adds to the fun offering FREE snacks, drinks and activity books to all.

For several years, our Club has built and maintained a Beach Toy Borrow Box on 2nd Avenue, allowing children to borrow toys for the day and return them for others to enjoy. This initiative also helps protect the environment by keeping toys off the beach and out of the ocean.

With literacy and education as top priorities, our Club awards scholarships to Asbury Park High School students and builds Book Arks filled with hundreds of books for enthusiastic readers at local elementary schools. We also join in reading to children during Read Across America!

Our ongoing partnership with the Asbury Park Little League puts us right in the action — cheering on the players, providing equipment, uniforms, and snacks, and flipping pancakes at the big season-opening breakfast!

From preparing rooms and renovating spaces to refreshing landscapes and celebrating birthdays, our Club proudly supports the inspiring work of Covenant House. Our members and volunteers give their all to make a difference.

Each week, our members and volunteers dedicate time at Mercy Center to help keep the pantry open at hours that accommodate working parents and family members caring for children.

We have a lot of time for our Bridge of Books Foundation partner, joining them during the year to sort, box and deliver books to schools for children of all ages. Youth literacy is HUGE!

Through our fundraising efforts, we donated $1,900 to Asbury Park youth football, enabling the purchase of new uniforms, equipment, and travel resources for games and tournaments.
