Jersey Shore Ride for Food Justice
Trinity Church hosted its 6th Annual Jersey Shore Ride for Food Justice. The Kiwanis Club of Asbury Park established it's own team and raised $1,200 in support of community initiatives, including housing, homelessness and personal wellness.
Community Karma Backpack Drive
The Community Karma and St. Stephen AME Zion Church pulled off another hugely-successful 2024 Backpack Drive. The Kiwanis Club of Asbury Park was a part of the fundraising, picking and packing of the backpacks. We are so proud to support our partner Community Karma. They share the same dedication as we do to youth education and literacy (among several other youth concerns).
Changing the Lives of Deserving Youth
Kiwanis AP has been hard at work leading and supporting initiatives and partners focused on positively impacting the lives of so many vulnerable youth living all around us. Let's take a look.
2nd Ave. Beach Toy Borrow Box
To the surprise and delight of beachgoers on 2nd Ave. in Asbury, Kiwanis AP placed a box full of beach toys for youngsters to enjoy for the day. Children of all ages are borrowing and returning toys daily - now through the end of the season.
Covenant House Paint Refresh
Kiwanis' partnership with Covenant House offers love and support to boys and girls facing homelessness. But a fresh coat of indoor paint, landscaping, bedding and other supplies offer a comfortable living space for residents.
Movie Night At The Showroom
The Showroom provided an awesome venue for the Kiwanis Club to host its first ever FREE "movie night." Over 25 boys, girls and family members munched on popcorn and other snacks during the movie Trolls Band Together.
Play on Pine Street
Second Life Bikes provides a safe environment for kids to bike and play on summer Friday nights on Pine Street in AP. The Kiwanis Club adds to the fun offering FREE snacks, drinks and activity books to the youngsters.
